Banyana Banyana has continued to be a dominant side in terms of football representation in South Africa, they have done way better than what Bafana Bafana could ever do for a very long time now and therefore, I believe that Banyana players must be well compensated for representing our country at the highest level of football. The South African Football Association (SAFA) must do the right thing and honour our women's senior national team members, and they must be treated with dignity because they deserve it.
Just recently Banyana Banyana participated in the in the Aisha Buhari Cup which was held in Nigeria, and they were so explosive in their performance as they managed to beat their toughest opponents in Africa which is Nigeria, and oh man the ladies displayed a stunning performance as they managed to beat the west African side by 4-2. Nigeria is the toughest team in Africa and they are also the reigning champions of the continent.
The long time standing president of SAFA Mr Danny Jordan spoke briefly about how Banyana Banyana made them proud and he also spoke about the significant role that sponsors play in the development of women's football. Yes it can be agreed that sponsors play an important role in making sure that every sector of women's football division has the right amount of funding that is needed, from junior players to a top flight league like we just saw the rise of the Hollywood Bets which is a sponsor that has contributed greatly in women's football.
Having talent to play football is one thing but being paid for doing something that you are already good at that is a massive motivation to anyone, and most definitely should there be more monies that will be given to these players it's most certain that they will perform at their best level when they represent the national team, Danny Jordan and SAFA must do the right thing and pay Banyana Banyana players.
