Breaking : Adama Traore Joins Barcelona

FC Barcelona are wasting no time in trying to make up for what has been a truly disappointing season for the Catalonia side. Barcelona have snapped up speedy Spanish winger Adama Traore from Wolverhampton.

The clubs have mutually agreed for a loan until end of season. Barcelona have a purchase option included but it is not mandatory, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Should Barcelona activate their purchase option they will have to pay an amount of €30 million for signing Traore on permanent. Barcelona's recent transfer activity is justified by its poor return of results in the on-going season.

The Catalonia side have suffered a huge dip in standards since the departure of their all time top goalscorer Lionel Messi who is now on the books of French powerhouse PSG. Barcelona are facing a huge mountain to climb in trying to salvage anything from this season. They currently trail log leaders Real Madrid by a massive 15 points.

The Catalonia outfit are already out of this season's UEFA Champions league and will battle it out in the Europa league after crashing out in the group stages of the champions league, suffering embarrassing defeats to Bayern and Benfica.

Adama Traore will look to make his mark on Xavi's side. Traore is not an unfamiliar face for Barcelona, the winger came through the ranks of La Masia ( Barcelona's academy institution). Traore Joins Ferran Torres as the latest addition to Barcelona.
