"I Made A Lot Of Money In My Career, " Says Ex-Sundowns Player

Some soccer players manage to maintain their descipline throughout their whole careers, ensuring that even when opportunities start closing on them, they don't really have to worry about money as they would have already made some good investments to secure them for a lifetime.

That's so the case for former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Wayne Arednse who is still without a club to play for but has come out to call out for clubs to come and give him an opportunity to play, regardless of the offer they would have put on the table.

To him it is no longer about money but rather about doing what he enjoys doing and he believes that with the amount of experience he has, he can help teams and also rub off what he learnt from the game to the younger players.

"I'm still looking for a club to play for and I am talking to some people, but nothing is concrete yet. I am prepared to play for any club, it's all a matter of them putting an offer on the table and I'm good to go. The time for me to be chasing money in my career is long gone because I made a lot of money in my entire career, so it's no longer about the money for me but just the passion to play, help teams and the youngsters, " revealed Arendse.

The towering defender who is currently 37 years of age was released by Mamelodi Sundowns a while ago when they began their mass exodus of releasing older players, which included their former captain Hlompho Kekana.

Any team would surely benefit having Arednse in their dressing room, especially the so called smaller teams who need players with experience and leadership in their locker.
