Bafana Star Added to Pirates Wishlist of Transfer Target

It is that time of the season were many teams in the PSL are looking to strengthen their squad to prepare for the next campaign. 


Pirates are going to CAF Confederations cup final they manage to grind results from the tournament. However they struggled to show consistence for most of the season in the PSL this campaign.



One area that has been ignored has now been given more attention.

Age is no longer on the side of Siyabonga Mpontshane and Wayne Sandilands.


Richard Ofori is a good shot stopper, however Pirates can't over rely on him alone. They need more experience goalkeepers. Ofori often struggle to hold on to the ball.



Pirates tried to lure Supersport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams for a nunber of season. However it is not easy to get a player from Supersport as they are always looking to get a replacement, first before they part away with a player.


Pirates have turned thier attend to Cosafa cup hero. Who kept lots of clean sheets and helped the team to win the tournament.

According to the latest developments Veli Mothwa has been added to the wish list of Pirates.



Veli Mothwa has proven his worth a numbers if times at Amazulu and the national team, also under both coach McCathy and Truter. He has been working hard and showing consistency between the poles. He managed to keep 6 consecutive clean sheets under Coach Truter.

He is number 2 in terms of clean sheet in the PSL.


He managed to keep 13 clean sheets out 25 games. 

At number 1 is Hugo Marques who kept 14 clean sheets out of 27 games.


Mothwa',s contract will come to an end in June.

Pirates wants to sign him at the end of the season.
