The well-known popular star Simphiwe Tshabalala joined Usuthu Football Club Last Season to strengthen the squad after they underperform last season. Simphiwe Tshabalala becomes popular when he was playing for Amakhosi FC where he was selected to play in National Team Bafana Bafana. Tshabalala was one of the top players who played for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Benni McCarthy shared his thoughts about Simphiwe Tshabalala as he is out of action due to injury. The owner and chairman Sandile Ndlovu made it clear that Simphiwe is okay even when he is not playing. He said his experience is essential to guide young players.
