OPINION: The 5 Best Left-wingers In Football This Season

STERLING (Manchester City)

Sterling was a regular starter for Manchester City, but the arrival of Jack Grealish caused him to lose his position. So far, he has regained his position so far as Grealish has not been able to prove his worth. Sterling has four goals and three assists so far in 19 appearances, 10 of which he has started.

L. INSIGNE (Napoli)

He is a prolific left winger with great speed. The technical Italian is quick and has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. The 30-year-old loves to cut in from the left wing and curlers into the top bin. He is a great asset for Napoli, and he holds the 4th position.

MANE (Liverpool)

Sadio Mane has been sensational for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool. However, by his own high standards, his 2020–21 campaign was a flop. At times, Mane appeared to have lost his goal-scoring sharpness and pace. But this season, the Senegalese international has shown that class trumps form. Mane appears to be scoring goals again. Mohamed Salah's greatest supporter this season has been Mane. In 19 appearances across all competitions, the 29-year-old has nine goals and one assist. Liverpool have two marauding full-backs in Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson. Salah and Mane are the team's main playmakers, so scoring goals is their main duty. So far this season, they've done it well.

LEROY SANE (Bayern Munich)

Leroy Sane is another player who didn't quite live up to expectations in 2020–21. In 44 appearances for the Bavarians last season, he scored 10 goals and 12 assists. But this season, the German international has proven his worth. He has been on fire for Bayern Munich in the first half of the 2021-22 season. Sane has been so good this season that he's nearly matched his stats from last year. In 21 appearances across all competitions, he has nine goals and ten assists. Sane has already wowed fans at Benfica, Barcelona, and Dynamo Kiev. His blistering pace, calmness, and technical ability make him a nightmare to defend.

VINICUS JR. (Real Madrid)

Real Madrid fans have been doubtful whether Vinicius Jr. will develop into more than a vibrant winger. This season, the Brazilian has proven to be a serious footballer. Vinicius Jr. has improved his finishing this season in particular. Real Madrid's left winger has been a lightning strike. He is having a great season for Real Madrid and poses a great offensive threat to his opponents.

What can you say about these players?
