Richards Bay FC to make decision on Pitso

Richards Bay FC made history over the weekend as they also put smiles over the people of KwaZulu Natal as they were crowned as the 2021/22 National First Division (NFD) champions, and now the big question that the club supporters, and those who have been curious is, who will be the club's next head coach?

The club owner Jomo Biyela has spoken out about these questions and he has decided to give the man who guided this team to the top another shot at the DStv Premiership, this means that coach Pitso Dladla will remain as the club's head coach ahead of the new season in the South African top tier league.

In the past it has happened that newly promoted teams ditch their former coaches and then they consider the so called experienced coaches, and then that's when they begin to witness the demise of their respective sides as players decline in their level of performance and then they get forced to fight against relegation when the season reaches for an end. Pitso Dladla was the man responsible for Richards Bay success as we see them now being crowned as the champions of NFD which helped them to gain automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership.

History has been made in the KwaZulu Natal province as they will now have five teams participating in the DStv Premiership, they will be joining AmaZulu, Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and Royal AM. When speaking to the media Jomo Biyela confirmed confirmed his faith on Pitso Dladla, and he also revealed that they are set to have the same set of players who fought through thick and thin to reach this high, however there will be some changes made as per recommendations, and this includes the club's technical team and additional players.

Richards Bay FC may not be the only team from the NFD that could play at the DStv Premiership next season as the University of Pretoria and Cape Town All Stars are now ready to play in the relegation/promotion play offs against the 15th placed team in the DStv Premiership.
