Ghanian striker to join Orlando Pirates?

Orlando Pirates are believed to have offered Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah a deal after the player passed his medicals at the club.

Peprah has spent over a week at Pirates, having arrived last weekend from Ghana Premier League club King Faisal, where he has been recognized as a top player.

The 20-year-old is highly rated and touted as one of the top talents in Ghana after scoring 12 goals, while making 10 assists, in 29 appearances for the club last season.

Indications from sources close to the latest developments at the Buccaneers are that the player has been offered a three-year deal by the club, with a view of adding him to Josef Zinnbauer’s roster.

“Kwame Peprah has passed his medicals at Pirates and the club is busy preparing to sign him. The boy has been offered a three-year deal at the club,” football publication Soccer Laduma reported recently.

Kwame Peprah is a talented young player who is a hard worker, and he has an eye for goals. With time, he can be one of the top players for Pirates and in the South African League.

Bucs have identified a need to reinforce their striking department after struggling to find the back of the net (in open Play) in both matches against Kaizer Chiefs and Swallows FC in the Carling Black Label Cup and MTN8, respectively.

Against Swallows on the weekend, pirates scored through a penalty as they lost 2-1 and were knocked out of the MTN8.
