Top 10 Richest Football Club Owners, Newcastle Owners Top The List

Football club business is a lucrative business that many individuals and groups have invested a huge amount of money into it. Club owners make a profit through winning leagues, other important matches, TV deals, and other deals. The benefit attached to owning clubs pushed many groups and individuals to acquire clubs. 

In this article, I will show you some of the richest club owners in the world. The owners have invested a lot of money into their clubs.

First on the list is the Public Investment Fund who are the owners of Newcastle with an estimated net worth of $430bn. The group bought an 80% stake in Newcastle in October 2021. The group that bought Newcastle is headed by Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed bin Salman and its governor, Yasir Al-Rumayyan, has been appointed Newcastle chairman.

Second on the list is Sheikh Mansour, the owner of Man City, Melbourne City, New York City with an estimated net worth of $20bn. Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, but popularly known as Sheikh Mansour, is well-known for owning Premier League club Manchester City. He also owns other clubs through the City Football Group.

Third on the list is Dietrich Mateschitz who owns Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig, and NY Red Bulls with an estimated net worth of $19.4bn. The Austrian billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz has a lot of investment in sports, but his major focus is RB Leipzig, Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg and MLS side New York Red Bulls.

Fourth on the list is Andrea Agnelli & family who own Juventus with an estimated net worth of $13.5bn. The Agnelli family are the owners of Juventus and Andrea Agnelli is heading the family's football enterprise.

Fifth among the wealthiest club owners is Dietmar Hopp, the owner of Hoffenheim with an estimated net worth of $13bn. Hoffenheim is not a top-rated club, but its owner is a wealthy man known for his business. Reports have it that Hopp invested nearly €400 million into Hoffenheim,

Sixth on the list is Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich with an estimated net worth of $12.4bn. The Russian businessman shocked many people in 2003 when he poured millions into Chelsea to help the club succeed. 

The seventh on the list is Philip Anschutz the owner of LA Galaxy with an estimated net worth of $10bn.

Eight on the list is Stan Kroenke, the owner of Arsenal and Colorado Rapids with an estimated net worth of $9bn. Stan Kroenke, an American billionaire, owned the premier league club through his Kroenke Sports and Entertainment company. 

Ninth on the list is Nasser Al-Khelaifi the owner of PSG with an estimated net worth of $8bn. Nasser Al-Khelaifi who is a businessman is the head of Qatar Sports Investments, which owns and operates the French team Paris Saint-Germain.

Finally, the tenth richest owner of a club is Zhang Jindong who happens to be the owner of Inter with an estimated net worth of $7.6bn. The Chinese billionaire through his company the Suning Holdings Group bought most of the ownership of the club in 2016.
