Mamelodi Sundowns co-coaches Rhulani Mokwena and Manqoba Mngqithi bagged their third successive Premier Soccer League (PSL) monthly award.
The co-coaches walked away with the DStv Premiership League coach of the month award for December. Under the guidance of the two co-coaches, Mamelodi Sundowns has played seven matches last month, between the 4th to 23rd.
Sundowns recorded four wins, two draws and suffered a single defeat which came at the hands of AmaZulu. That also marked Sundowns' first loss in the league so far this season and it gave their chasers a glimmer of hope in the title race.
On the the 4th last month, Mamelodi Sundowns visited Stellenbosch FC and they would pick a point on the road after playing to a 1-1 draw.
Sundowns bounced back with a 3-2 win over Royal AM four days later before narrowly beating SuperSport United 1-0 on the 11th last month. On the 14th December, Sundowns edged out Baroka 2-1 and they increased their win tally for the month to four with a five star performance in a 4-1 win over Orlando Pirates days later.
