Orlando Pirates' new head coach has been described as a professor of football.
The Spaniard coach joins the Mayfair based side on a three-year deal until 2025.
One of the few South Africans who know the coach Leroy Maluka has revealed that the coach is a real deal.
Maluka who is a former professional football player spent his time playing in Finland where the new Pirates coach was working in.
"From what I know, he is almost like a professor of football. He’s a mastermind. He knows the game; he has studied the game. He is a very professional coach," said Maluka speaking to Soccer Laduma.
Maluka added that the coach has no special character and does not like talking too much but he likes doing his business.
Maluka also added that Riveiro has a great sense of humour and has emphasized that he likes the coach a lot because he is such a good guy.
He added that as much as Pirates is a big club, the coach is also big even though his name is unpopular but he has done amazing things in Finland.
