Chiefs Striker Opens Up After Ending Drought

Lazarous Kambole of Kaizer Chiefs described the feeling of breaking a scoring drought that had lasted more than a year.

The Zambian forward, who was placed on the Naturena transfer list before the start of the season, scored the game-winning goal in Amakhosi's 4-0 thrashing of Chippa United at FNB Stadium over the weekend.

The Zambian attacker, who was placed on the Naturena transfer list before the start of the season, scored the game-winning goal in Amakhosi's 4-0 thrashing of Chippa United at FNB Stadium over the weekend.

Kambole receives sound advice from Baxter.

Since joining the club in 2019, he has made 42 appearances for the team, however this was only his second goal. With Samir Nurkovic and Leonardo Castro both out due to injury, it's the ideal time for him to score on a regular basis.

“It is good to be back in the team. To be on the scoresheet is a great feeling and I am happy for the team and I am happy for the goal. I am hoping that going forward I can score more goals for the team,” the striker told the Amakhosi website.

“The most essential thing is to concentrate on the aspects of your life that you can influence. All you have to do now is keep working hard and the results will follow. "I'll have to put in a lot of work in training and hope for more goals," the 27-year-old continued.

When Amakhosi take on SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday, Kambole is likely to get another chance.
