The Premier Soccer League transfer window is only a few days from closing and the Soweto giants have been the busiest side on the market. It has been reported that Swallows FC has concluded yet another singing from their Gauteng rivals. The future is bright, the Dube birds have recruited one of the brightest stars in South Africa. The young midfielder completed a 5-year deal with Mamelodi Sundowns FC last season, he couldn't make an impact, but he will have a chance to play again and showcase his skills in the Dstv Premiership with the Dube Birds. He used to play for the South African national youth squad while playing in the lower division, but his football career went down a rabbit hole when he joined the Pretoria side. He had a failed move to Sundowns, but we believe his football career can be revived at the Dube Birds. At the age of 23, he will get game time, and he has a chance to play for the South African senior national team because there is a coach who would believe in young players. He will need time to adapt to the philosophy and tactics of coach Brandon Truter, but he mustn't take that long, 1 or 2 months is enough. Image credit: Facebook
Our South African players need to take football as a career or otherwise, it's a spell for disaster. They need to be taught self-management, set an action plan, set goals or possible targets, and build a better understanding with teammates outside the soccer field. Playing soccer on the field is not enough to guarantee success as a footballer. Swallows coach brought him for a reason, and he should use that motivation to change his fortunes. Image credit: Google
