It takes a lot for a player to sign a pretty season contract.
Having penned down his pre season contract with Mamelodi Sundowns while still attached to Kaizer Chiefs, it never seems to rain but pours for George Maluleka.
Maluleka had an amazing spell at Chiefs before he decided to cross the floor and joined Sundowns.
It has not been the dream move that Maluleka had hoped for. Now in his final contract at Chlorkop, Maluleka has struggled to feature in KaboYellow colours.
It is believed that his future at Masandawa is hanging on by a thread.
According to football publication Soccer Laduma, Sundowns are expetre to meet with his management to deliberate on what happens next in his career.
The 32-year-old has an option to extend for another season in his contract and the Tshwane giants are set to make a call on whether to exercise it. It’s still early in the season and Downs have a number of matches ahead of them, especially with the CAF Champions League campaign about to begin for them after the international break.
Even though the season is still young, the robust Maluleka is yet to make an appearance for the reigning league champions this season.
The last competitive game he played for the club was in June, at the tail end of last season, when he came on as a substitute against Bloemfontein Celtic.
