Kaizer Chiefs mean business in this transfer window after they have signed PSL's best attacker

"Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly reached an agreement with Stellenbosch FC over the transfer of star attacker Ashley Du Preez, he has been linked with a move to the Glamour Boys however the only stumbling block was his hefty price tag.

Kaizer Chiefs have missed out on several transfer targets during recent years due to their unwillingness to splash large amounts of cash but things looked to have changed going to next season since they are signing quality players.

According to the reports from, Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch have agreed to a fee which is the amount of R6 million rands for the deadly attacker who is a nightmare to defenders.

Kaizer Chiefs have failed to win a single trophy in the 2021/22 season which is one of the reasons why they are signing new players to strengthen their squad so that they could be able to challenge for the league championship and the other trophies on offer which includes the qualification to the CAFCL for next season.

Below are some of the comments from Social media.

What's the point? His career is going to end before it begins. they threatened us with Khama khama, Dolly and Baxter and they were singing we will be on fire next season. oh please give us a break losers.

Well priced! And if you ask me, such quality in Du Preez you can even throw a mill he'll still worth it. Players need to be well priced to match PSL standards. Thanks to stellenbosch for such a professional approach in their justified negotiations.

It wouldn't surprise me if another headline comes up with an indication that Sundowns or Pirates have signed him. This kind of player normally does well in small teams because there is little pressure and struggling teams due to excessive pressure, Time will tell.
