Unexpected | Bafana Coach Picks Another Kaizer Chiefs' Star To Join Him In Camp

With the international break upon us, newly Bafana Bafana head coach is trying by all means to find the right and best players that will fit to his tactics and ideas. He has chosen many unfamiliar faces and dropped the 'usual' guys. Many Kaizer Chiefs players were called up to join Mr. Broos.

Hugo Broos, the coach of Bafana Bafana, has stated that he has called up Njabulo Ngcobo as a 24th player for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Last Monday, the 69-year-old named a 23-man squad for FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Ghana.

However, because Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Mothobi Mvala had a minor injury, Broos decided to add Ngcobo as a substitute.

“We had some issues, as you know with Lebusa, Maema, and Sithole, but now Mvala has a minor injury,” says the coach.

"He won't train today or tomorrow, and we'll see and decide on Wednesday if he'll be ready for Friday's game."

“As a result, we called in a 24th player, Ngcobo. He's been with us since this morning, and we'll see what Mvala has to say. Perhaps we will travel to Zimbabwe with a total of 24 players.”

Because he hasn't played for his new club yet, the reigning DStv Premiership Defender of the Season was initially left out of the squad. Ngcobo was the lone addition to the initial squad of 23, which may be found here.
