Former Maritzburg United Captain Thabiso Kutumela was given yet another opportunity by the Mamelodi Sundowns coaches to do what he does best, which is scoring goals for the team. In a match against TS Galaxy Thabiso Kutumela was placed in a bench as Manqoba Mngqithi, Rhulani Mokwena and Steve Komphela created an effective strategy against Owen Da Gama's side as they managed to thrash the Mpumalanga outfit by 3-0. Mamelodi Sundowns co-coaches were clearly prepared against TS Galaxy, the end result prove it to be an obvious conclusion.
Thabiso Kutumela was a super sub addition in Mamelodi Sundowns's triumph as he scored his first official goal for the DStv Premiership champions. Mamelodi Sundowns retained their number one goalkeeper Denis Onyango in the goal posts, and the Ugandan international goalkeeper kept his clean sheet once again. The Tshwane based side remain as the only DStv Premiership side that is yet to concede, so far so good they are in a perfect start in terms of their defense, and the question still remains, who will break Mamelodi Sundowns's net this season?
This was a match that was thought to be difficult for Sundowns especially during the fist half period, Owen Da Gama's side showed signs of resilience against the champions, and this led to both sides playing to a goalless first half. After half time it clearly showed that Mamelodi Sundowns technical team corrected their first half mistakes as they came back as a stronger side, and then they started to score goals for themselves.
Lyle Lakay dealt with TS Galaxy by creating a chance for Lebusa after a stunning free kick, and he scored the first goal for Masandawana. The Namibian star player Peter Shalulile did what he does best as he bagged the second goal for the Brazilians, and just when Da Gama thought they were having a bad day Thabiso Kutumela finished them off as he scored the third goal of this match, and this became his first goal since joining Sundowns, this is clearly a big motivation for Kutumela and he will be motivated to score more for the team.
