Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena disappointed with Hugo Broos

Mamelodi Sundowns' Rulani Mokwena has strongly hit back at Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos' accusations of sabotage. The straight-talking 69-year-old Broos had accused Sundowns of complicating his team selection by initially scheduling Thabiso Kutumela to undergo his Covid-19 vaccination jab during the international window.

It's a very, very difficult situation with Bafana," Mokwena revealed. "We can't even communicate with the medical department. We don't know the itinerary of Bafana, we don't know the training programme of Bafana.

We don't get training feedback in relation to the [player training] load, there's no data.So the cooperation with Bafana frustrates us a little bit. Because as Mamelodi Sundowns we are the first to always over the years shown willingness to support the nation. To support the cause and release as many personnel including support structures from Sundowns going to represent Bafana.

I thought its teams that give feedback to the National Team for assessment and selection not the Other way around. So Rhulani expects a report on his players from Hugo Broos.Bafana Bafana dont pay their salaries, so their respective Clubs have control over them, when they injured, who loses.

I feel all 16 teams in the Dstv Premiership are against progress in bafana we understand the Football association is in shambles and its administration is not on point but that doesnt mean we should stop contributing towards the success of the National team.

There is no other Bafana Bafana and until we get our heads in game to understand Hugo Broos not only is here to coach but expose the hurdles that were kept in Safa corridors by former coaches. Rhulani is a good tactician but a very bad coach with an irritating sense of entitlement.

This is why South African players are a failure when it comes to playing overseas they get big headed when they play for big teams.Rhulani’s claim to fame is being an assistant coach, his opinion here is way above his head. He should Coach a club successfully then maybe we can listen to your wise counsel.
