Former Pirates player shares his message towards the club

It's never easy leaving Orlando Pirates, especially if you didn't live up to the high expectations of the supporters, and club management and technical team. After the exit of Nkanyiso Zungu at Mayfair, he has shared a few words towards the club chairman Irvin Khoza, and the rest of management and his former team mates. This comes after his sudden exit from the Buccaneers as his off-field shenanigans messed with his football career. However, Zungu has gotten another chance at Richards Bay FC which are competing in the GladAfrica Championship. As he also failed to impress the technical team at Mayfair and that meant he spent most of the time on the bench.

Now, the former Stellenbosch FC midfielder has sent his gratitude towards Khoza as he gave him a rare opportunity to be part of his club. Also, Zungu has thanked the Pirates technical team, backroom staff and team mates for all the amazing support that they gave him through the ups and downs at Mayfair. "I want to thank Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza for showing me love and support during my time with them, the management, players and everyone at the club, they loved me and I still love them too," said Zungu speaking to the media.

The former AmaZulu FC player stated that he doesn't regret his time at the Buccaneers, even though things didn't happen the way he planned. Nevertheless, he's excited to go back to Richards Bay FC since that's where he made a name for himself. "Coming back home makes me happy, I've been away for a while and I'm here to restart, showcase my talent, so I'm so happy to be back home, play football which is something I love,” Zungu told the media.
