In spite of Cristiano Ronaldo's outstanding form, Manchester United has struggled recently, and their recent slump may continue in their next couple of Premier League games, despite the fact that the Portuguese superstar has been in superb form.
In the summer of 2014, Manchester United spent over £20 million to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Since his arrival at Old Trafford, Ronaldo has scored four goals in three games, assisting the red devils in winning games. However, even with Cristiano Ronaldo's goals, the red devils are still likely to lose 2-3 games in their next five Premier League games, according to the Premier League.
Following their 1-0 Carabao Cup loss to West Ham, Manchester United will have to contend with a very difficult run of Premier League games, and they may well lose a couple of those games.
Take a look at Man United's remaining five games.
Man United will host Aston Villa and Everton at Old Trafford in their first two games of their next five matches. They will then travel to Leicester City before hosting Liverpool at home and then traveling to Tottenham Hotspur in their final two games.
In the match against Aston Villa
Aston Villa has a highly talented roster at the moment, and they will undoubtedly cause problems for Manchester United, but they are unlikely to come away with a victory over the Red Devils.
In the match against Everton
Everton, like Manchester United, has a fantastic team, but they are unlikely to be victorious against current Manchester United squad.
In the match against Leicester City
The match against Leicester City will be extremely difficult for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's players, and it is possible that they may be defeated in it.
In the match against Liverpool
Manchester United will face their toughest test of the season when they take on a Liverpool team that has yet to lose a game this season. Manchester United will most likely lose the game.
In the match against Tottenham
Tottenham, like the rest of the Premier League, has been in excellent form this season, and they have a chance to beat Manchester United at home.
Manchester United may be able to get through their first two games against Aston Villa and Everton, but when they face Leicester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham, they may either lose all three games or at the very least two out of three.
