Soccer | Bull players return to full salary pay

SOCCER - CAPITAL City side Mbabane Highlanders players will be happy to learn that they will receive full salaries as from today. The good news comes after the black and white players’ salaries were slashed by 50 per cent due to the COVID-19 pandemic since the past eight months. Mbabane Highlanders boss Chief Ally Kgomongwe confirmed the developments yesterday. “My players will from tomorrow (today) receive full salaries, even the new ones. I would like to thank them for their cooperation throughout the past months. I know it wasn’t easy for them but they managed to adapt.

They understood the situation and we are grateful for that. They will get full salaries from now onwards,” he said. Kgomongwe encouraged the players to follow all COVID-19 precautionary measures. “As we are about to start the new season, I want to welcome the new players and thank the ones who’ve been around for sometime for welcoming them. The team will be ready for the start of the upcoming season.” He said they wanted to assemble a strong team that would compete effectively in all competitions. “I am happy with the players as they are showing determination and readiness to fight in the new season.” Expected The capital city side will next week parade new players Bonginkhosi ‘Gudas’ Dlamini, Siphosethu ‘Mjovo’ Mlotsa, Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, Thamsanqa Sangweni, Xolani ‘Papi’ Sikhondze and youngster Siwakhile Shongwe.
