Kaizer Chiefs And Orlando Pirates Could Lose Out In The Race For Top Midfielder

There is a risk that Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will miss out on a top midfielder.

Next month in July, the Kaizer Chiefs will join the Mamelodi Sundowns in a preseason event.

Amakhosi will be playing in a handful of exhibition games before the regular season begins.

All signs point to Chiefs participating in the upcoming Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup with the Brazilians.

After a long hiatus due to Covid-19, the tournament will resume.

Sundowns and Amazulu have both been regulars in the event for some time now.

Aside from Richards Bay, another newcomer to the DStv Premiership, Amakhosi has reportedly also been accepted to participate in the event.

Sundowns have reportedly committed to participating in this year's event.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, have not yet announced whether or not they will participate in the competition.

Chiefs are also scheduled to play in a preseason event versus Orlando Pirates, one of their major rivals.

The Amakhosi have resumed training for the upcoming preseason.
