Opinion - Orlando Pirates could return next year with a scary team nobody wants to play against?

With the kind of form and momentum Orlando Pirates are currently building at the moment you'd swear that they are actually doing it with a full strength team just like Mamelodi Sundowns

The Soweto Giants started this particular season in extremely controversial fashion when Josef Zinnbauer out of nowhere decided to part company with the club after a narrow defeat to Moroka Swallows in the MTN8

Now already a lot of people had expected Josef Zinnbauer to leave Orlando Pirates but not in the kind of fashion or way he ended up eventually leaving the club by voluntarily resigning from his post as the head coach of the club

That left current assistants Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi with a mountain to climb in terms of restoring some order and balance to the first team and they are finally doing that after a shaky start to their tenure

And by the passing of each game there is a sense that both Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi are starting to get their message across successfully to the Orlando Pirates players after picking up two wins from two most recently

And with the momentum Orlando Pirates are building at the moment they aren't even doing it with a full strength team as a number of players have been injured including the entire front three of the club

The Bucs have been missing the likes of Vincent Pule, Zakhele Lepasa, Thembinkosi Lorch for about a while now through injury as Orlando Pirates have been getting results but not in the way they should be on a consistent basis

And after being injured for such long periods of time the very scary Orlando Pirates attack of Zakhele Lepasa and Thembinkosi Lorch as well as Vincent Pule are all scheduled to make a return to action after the the Christmas break

Which means that after the Christmas break Orlando Pirates could return with a new look attack in january without even exploring the transfer market for options and spending a single penny

And if Orlando Pirates manage to kick on from there with the slight rise in form of fierce rivals Kaizer Chiefs both Soweto Giants could give Mamelodi Sundowns some food for thought going into the second half of the season
