Kaizer Chiefs Striker Kambole opens up after ending his goal drought

Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole has opened up after ending his goal drought.

The Zambian striker was on the scoresheet over the weekend when his side thrashed Chippa united by 4-0.

It was his first goal this season on two appearances and he had not scored in more than a year.

It was Kambole's 42 appearance since he joined the club in 2019 and it was his second goal for the club.

The goal will come as a huge confident booster for the player in the absence of Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurkovic who are still nursing their injuries.

Speaking to the club's media Kambole said he is delightful to be back on the field and being on the scoresheet comes as a good feeling and also expressed his happiness towards the team for the win over the weekend.

He added that he hopes to score more goals for the team going forward.

"The most important thing is to focus on the things you can change. You just have to continue working hard and the goals will come," he said.

He concluded that he will work hard at training and pray for more goals.

Amakhosi will visit Supersport United this coming Sunday for their next DStv premiership game and Kambole is likely to be given another chance.
