PSL Log Table after Mid Week Games, See Orlando Pirates New Position after 1-0 Win

All of this week's games shook up the Premier Soccer League (PSL) standings in significant ways.

As of Tuesday, August 16 and Wednesday, August 17, the PSL was back in action with DStv premiership midweek games.

The rest of the games will resume this coming weekend, although only two games and four teams were in action this midweek.

Following this week's slate of games, we examine the overall log standings.

After beating Royal AM on Wednesday, Orlando Pirates climbed closer to the top of the log standings.

The Buccaneers climbed the standings ladder all the way to the fourth spot.

Following seven games, the club is tied for first position with Richards Bay on the standings.

But after tonight's game, the Buccaneers have played four games this season, while the Rich Boys have only played three.

This evening's loss by the KwaZulu Natal club dropped them to seventh place, below Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates.

After two victories, two losses, and no draws, the team currently has six points for the season.

In their next league encounter against Maritzburg United, the team will be hoping to get back on track with a victory.

A goalless draw against Caoe Town City on Tuesday night left Maritzburg United, another team in action this midweek, in 13th place.

After starting the season with three draws and a loss, the preferred squad is still looking for its first victory.

After four rounds of play, Cape Town City sits dead last in the standings, having amassed a measly solitary point.

City has a record of 3 losses and 1 draw in their last 4 matches.
