Orlando Pirates was on a promising start in the match, and after 13 minutes into the first half of the match, they claimed the lead at 1-0.

The lead was all thanks to Happy Jele who scored a goal from Vincent Pule's assist, but they could not keep the lead for maximum points away from home.
