Former Chiefs' Player Lauded Ngcobo And Mathoho For The Club's Recent Solid Defence

Former Chiefs' player lauded Ngcobo and Mathoho for recent solid defence.

Date: Thursday, 18 November

Kaizer Chiefs has worked a little bit harder in their last four matches then they did in their previous six matches played in the Dstv Premiership, as they have improved in some key areas where they really needed to focus some serious attention. Kaizer Chiefs had a problem with their attack, as they saw a lack of goals denying them some victories which would've seen them being higher up the log standings than the current 6 place spot that they are currently in.

Kaizer Chiefs attack has grown immensely since Keagan Dolly has found his goalscoring form building a new found partnership with Khama Billiat which has led to some pretty awesome wins in the Dstv Premiership. Another area in which Kaizer Chiefs struggled was the defence and the club who signed the defender of the season Njabulo Ngcobo was conceding way too much goals, but their last four matches before the international break has shown improvement as they have conceded only three times in their last four matches played.

The club has now worked on both their attack and defence and it is working as a 6th place spot after 10 matches played does not look too bad for now. Former Kaizer Chiefs player Mokete Tsotetsi who used to play as a defender lauded the defence for their wonderful work and gave credit to the rest of the team for their performances in the last four matches the club played.

Tsotetsi talked about how good Ngcobo and Mathoho has been in defence as he said, "It looks like things are slowly working, with the experience of Mathoho to help the likes of Ngcobo. Going into the Maritzburg game, I feel they have improved defensively and they are conceding less now. The chances of keeping that momentum are high, especially after the Fifa break. I believe that they will be more solid, with the of from the last game they played against Pirates".

Tsotetsi's point of view does not really matter unless Kaizer Chiefs can keep up with their defensive form. Chiefs really did a remarkable job but need to keep the momentum going as four matches does not determine a season long performance.
