Can Ronaldo Overtake Sinclair In All Time Overall International Topscoring Chart? {Opinion}

ARTICLE SOURCE: MY OPINION

When Cristiano Ronaldo made his professional debut in 2002, he was already one of the world's top players. With Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon to his name, he's been on an incredible journey throughout the course of his 36-year career. Throughout his career, the Portuguese international has scored 798 official goals, which puts him at the top of the all-time goalscoring list. With a brace against the Republic of Ireland on September 1st 2021, Ronaldo overtook Ali Daei's 109 International goals to become the men's all-time International top scorer with 111 goals, breaking a record that had been in place since 2006. As of this writing, he leads the men's International scoring charts with 115 goals. In the overall International goal tally, Ronaldo still lags behind leader Christine Sinclair despite his impressive total. Sinclair, a Canadian, has scored 188 goals for her country's national team and counting. At the age of 38, she is captain of her national football team and has won three championships in North America during her career. In terms of statistics, Ronaldo is now 73 goals behind Sinclair, and that number is expected to rise as Sinclair remains an active member of the Canadian national team. However, given Ronaldo's age, is there any way he can surpass Sinclair's record before calling it a day on his playing career?

Even while Manchester United's talisman is unquestionably a prolific goalscorer, even he may not be able to overtake Sinclair.

In terms of all-time international scoring records, do you believe Ronaldo can surpass Christine Sinclair?
