Chiefs were all over Stellies in the opening minutes of the match, until against the run of play the Cape Town-based club took the lead through Johnson in the 12th minute, and from there the flood gates were opened.

As Stellensbosch netted twice more before the break, through Titus in the 22nd minute and Boji in the 37th minute for a surprising but well-deserving 3 nil halftime lead.

After the break Chiefs went all out trying to come out of the match which they lost in the first half with something, they managed to pull one back through Dithejane in the 54th minute after a sustained pressure they put on the Stellies early in the second half.

The mighty glamour boys had numerous chances to get back into the game, but wayward finishing and lack of confidence in front of goals let them down.

Stellies went on to seal the match in the 84th minute through Avotuur which saw the match end with a scoreline of 4 - 1 in the favour of the Cape Town-based club.

The defeat sees Chiefs out of the top eight for the first this season in the DSTV Diski Challenge log, and will want to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible if they want to make the playoffs.
