Kaizer Chiefs has been linked with a lot of players in the January transfer window, but most of them are long-term targets as interest didn't arise now in the current open transfer window. Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with Teboho Mokoena, Sipho Mbule, Victor Letsoalo and Siyethemba Sithebe as the top reported targets in the current transfer window with Abubeker Nassir as their only reported foreign target as they look to strengthen with a striker.
Although the club is in search of a striker with Nassir and Letsoalo potential targets for the that respective role, they also want to go for a midfielder with Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule said to be perfect placements. Unfortunately for Kaizer Chiefs, Sipho Mbule might not even be available to sign as its believed that SuperSport United are all set to sit down with the player's representative and look to keep the player at the club, as they might exercise the option in his contract.
Sipho Mbule are linked with moves not only to Kaizer Chiefs but Mamelodi Sundowns are also believed to be interested in the Bafana Bafana star's services. His current contract with SuperSport United is set to expire in June with only six months left and many interest in his expertise as a talented footballer, the club could exercise the one-year on his contract and keep him on until June 2023, to avoid losing him to the reported interested clubs on a free.
Sipho Mbule are believed to be keen on a new challenge, but word is that SuperSport United and Mbule’s representative is set to meet this week to discuss the player's future with a one-year deal on the cards or it could even be more should they decide to hand him a long-term contract beyond the period of his option. Sipho Mbule has not featured for SuperSport United in a competitive match since November amid interest from other clubs.
