The Russia issue is spreading quickly, and the impact it is having on their international image is doing them more harm than good. The problem is causing clubs to cancel any form of sponsorship between them, and it is having a negative impact on Russia.
UEFA recently relocated the Champions League final from Russia to France, and several football sponsorships have been canceled. Manchester United recently canceled its sponsorship agreement with Russia as a result of the recent Ukraine crisis.
The football federation, as well as football players, are concerned about the situation. Lewandowski is one of many players who have expressed support for Ukraine.
Espn just published a post about Lewandowski's statement about his decision with Poland. Poland has rejected the match playoff with Russia, and Lewandowski supports Poland's decision.
Lewandowski believes that if Russia is to compete in the FIFA playoff, the dispute with Ukraine must be resolved. As a result of the recent incident, almost all European teams have canceled their sponsorship with Russia.
