UNEXPECTED | Retired Ex-PSL Star Becomes A School Teacher : See Who

People around the world often wish that they were making money through sports especially in soccer because there are so many perks that come with being a proffesional soccer player contracted to a proffesional club.

One would assume that all players are having it good and getting paid all the hefty money one can be paid at young ages. For others though, that is not the story as they struggle to make ends meet because they are not being paid.

That is the story for PSL Defender Lawrence Ntswane who has called time on his career because of unpaid salaries by the club he played for, that being Limpopo outfit Baroka.

The defender has blamed the reason for his premature retirement as being tired of the politics that surround football today. He then decided to change careers and become a teacher.  Lawrence was a teacher even before he signed a proffesional contract in football.

"I am done with football. My decision is due to many things such as all the politics in football and unpaid salaries. It's been frustrating.I am now back in Pretoria after finding a job as a teacher and head of sports. This is also a good opportunity to share my football experience with the youngsters and probably one or two will get the opportunity to realise their dreams through football, " explained the defender.

Baroka's woes towards the end of the season seem to be escalating and they are now on the brink of relagation to the GladAfrica Championship, sitting bottom of the table with one game to go.
