Mamelodi Sundowns News Update.

R8,5 million Euro transfer for Downs forward.

In response to interest from Serbia, Mamelodi Sundowns might receive R8.5 million in compensation if they consent to the transfer of one of the attackers currently on their roster.

Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro, a forward from Nigeria, was signed by Sundowns but spent the previous season playing for the University of Pretoria on loan. Despite being signed by Sundowns, Ighodaro has not yet appeared for Sundowns.

Ighodaro (23), who is now playing for TUKS, has been in good form, which has piqued the interest of Partizan Belgrade.

The most successful teams in Serbia are split between Red Star Belgrade and the SuperLiga heavyweights. The SuperLiga heavyweights make up one half of the most successful clubs in Serbia.

According to the leading Serbian daily Mozzart Sport, an offer of 500,000 Euros (about R8.5 million) will be presented to the Nigerian athlete who has been the subject of much discussion.

There has been mention of the past achievements of Nigerians Taribo West, Umar Sadiq, Obiora Odita, and Ifeanyi Emeghara while they were playing for the club. Ifeanyi Emeghara was also mentioned.

Seydouba Soumah, a former Ajax Cape Town midfielder, played for the same club that Eric Djemba Djemba did some years after leaving Manchester United. Eric Djemba Djemba also played for the club.

In prior years, Ighodaro has done exceptionally well while competing in junior competitions in Italy.

Osaguona Ighodaro, Etiosa Ighodaro's older brother, attended Abuja College and went on to earn two caps for the Super Eagles. Etiosa Ighodaro is Osaguona's younger brother.
