Happy Jele is arguably one of the best players to have doined the Orlando Pirates jersey. The star isn't just talented but he has mastered the key factor in football and that is consistency more especially while playing for one of the big teams. He has seen it all with the Buccaneers and had his fair share of highs and lows that comes with the game of football.
The Orlando Pirates captain is approaching retirement and as much as he would like to keep going, he will naturally have to move to the next stage of his career. His partnership with Thulani Hlatshwayo hasn't provided the desired results and thus has led fans to call for a change at the back. The star has also been mentoring young players like Thabiso Sesane to continue his legacy for the Buccaneers.
Happy Jele took to social media to react on Rushine De Reuck's picture following an amazing performance against Ghana. The Mamelodi Sundowns star had the opportunity to play with the star as Orlando Pirates were also interested in his services before he signed for Mamelodi Sundowns. This is something that would've loved to experience, however this shows that he is a fan of the youngster.
A compliment from one of the most accomplished players in the league should've be taken lightly by De Reuck as it shows that he is on the right track. The star managed to keep a clean sheet alongside Siyanda Xulu and stabilize the defense in a way that we haven't seen in a while for Bafana Bafana. He is definitely a valuable asset for the future of South African football.
This is part of the reason Happy Jele is special to the game as he has managed to achieve humility despite having every reason not to be humble. He always tries to give props when it is due and is big on encouraging the next generation of players and offering his experience to them. Rushine De Reuck was happy with the compliment as he reolied while referring to the Pirates skipper as a big brother.
