Mamelodi Sundowns finally got an opportunity to celebrate their DSTV Premiership title win on Monday afternoon following their 3-2 victory over Royal AM. The game was initially played on Saturday afternoon but had to be postponed due to bad weather conditions.
Having already won the crown, Mamelodi Sundowns wanted to wrap up the campaign in style and the win was enough to kick off the celebrations. Having some of their players infected by flu, the Brazilians had to make a number of changes to their teamsheet which saw one of the MDC stars being called up to the senior team.
Midfielder Ofentse Mashiane often known as "Pogba" made her senior team debut following an impressive run with the reserve side. Mashiane was given a couple of minutes in the second half to show what he can bring to the team and even got a chance to celebrate the title win with the rest of the squad.
Mashiane looks to be one of the future talents at the club and hopefully Sundowns will look very well after him.
