Orlando Pirates Player Ratings: Makaringe and Ndlovu rise to the occasion against Sekhukhune United

Makaringe and Ndlovu rise to the occasion against Sekhukhune United, according to Orlando Pirates player ratings.

The Buccaneers won their second game in a row in the PSL on Wednesday night, defeating Babina Noko 1-0. GOAL evaluates the individual performances of Buccaneers players.

6.5/10 for Richard Ofori

He was mostly untroubled as he recorded his second clean sheet of the season in the PSL.

Ofori, on the other hand, produced two key saves to deny Kamohelo Sithole and Chibuke Ohizu, as well as dealing well with aerial balls played in his area.

Bandile Shandu gets a six out of ten.

He wasn't able to do his customary overlapping runs.

Thabang Kobedi and later Tshidiso Patjie were more important to Shandu. He did a good job of containing the tandem, but he didn't give much else on the night.

Paseka Mako - 7/10 Backpagepix

At left-back, you put in a solid effort.

Mako was rarely disturbed by Sekhukhune's attackers, allowing him to make forward runs and combining well with his teammates in the hosts' half.

Ntsikelelo Nyauza - 6/10 Backpagepix

Against the reigning National First Division champions, I had a mixed game.

In the first half, Nyauza held his own against his former Pirates teammate Justin Shinga, but he struggled with Ohizu's movement and physicality after the restart.

Backpagepix 7/10 Happy Jele

With aplomb, he marshaled the Buccaneers' defense and put on a terrific show.

On a handful of instances, Jele displayed superb recovery speed to frustrate Vusumuzi Mncube, while also making crucial clearances thanks to his aerial prowess.

Thabang Monare gets a six out of ten.

As the holding midfielder, he had a fantastic first half.

Monare, on the other hand, had some wobbly moments in the second half, mistiming tackles and passes.

Goodman 6.5/10 Mosele

A game of two halves was also played.

Mosele was excellent in the first half, but he gave up possession on a few of occasions in the second half and was dragged off the ball.

7.5/10 Siphesihle Ndlovu

On his return to the starting lineup, he made an impression.

Ndlovu had a fantastic game for the Buccaneers, as he was tough and took up some terrific attacking positions, leading to Edwin's goal.

Bucs were granted a penalty after Gyimah fouled him in the box.

Kabelo Dlamini - 6/10 Backpagepix

On the night, he was one of the Bucs' better attackers.

Dlamini was relentless and full of energy, and his deft movement posed a constant threat to the Sekhukhune defense, although he didn't get many clear-cut chances.

Deon Hotto - 5/10 Backpagepix

He has set high standards for this term, therefore it was a muted game.

Hotto struggled with ball control and dribbling, as goalkeeper Ayanda Dlamini saved his poorly executed penalty.

5/10 Kwame Peprah

Peprah started in the middle once more but was unable to make an effect on the game due to Sibusiso Mbonani's tight marking until he was replaced.

6/10 - Wayde Jooste

In the 65th minute, he came on and made a couple overlapping runs while also defending well as Sekhukhune countered.

Tshegofatso Mabasa - 7/10 Backpagepix

After being inserted at the same time as Jooste, he worked hard and tormented the Sekhukhune backline with his constant pushing.

When he could have taken a shot at goal, he selflessly put up Fortune Makaringe for an assist.

Backpagepix Lorch, Thembinkosi - 5/10

He was introduced in the 77th minute and sought to use his quickness and dribbling talents to break down the hosts' defense, but the hosts were able to contain him.

Fortune Makaringe - 7/10 Backpagepix

With his incisive passes, he injected some much-needed urgency and creativity into the Bucs midfield after coming in in the 78th minute.

Makaringe also took a few long-range efforts at goal, one of which went in as he beat Dlamini from outside the box.
