Pirates Star Player Snubs Bafana-Bafana

The South African football universe must have been disappointed when they learnt that a promising youngster has decided to snub the national team call up when he was among the players that were called, and in case you are wondering which player is being referred to here, it's the 21 year old Orlando Pirates midfielder Goodman Mosele. The former Baroka player was eventually reported AWOL in the Bafana Bafana camp and this has forced coach Hugo Broos to make immediate changes to his squad.

The Orlando Pirates star player was thereafter replaced with the Supersport United's youngster Jesse Donn. The 22 year old midfielder has been instrumental for the Tshwane outfit and so far he has been played in all games for Kaitano Thembo's side, and has contributed positively to SuperSport United as they are currently occupying the second spot in the DSTV Premiership.

It's not yet clear what has motivated Goodman Mosele to snub Bafana Bafana, he has now missed a lifetime opportunity to possibly play in the grandest stage of them all, which is the FIFA World Cup. South Africa has been placed on group G with the likes of Ethiopia, Ghana and Zimbabwe. The good news for the South African football universe is that Bafana Bafana is currently occupying the top spot and they will be hoping to continue remaining up there, as they will be paying against Ethiopia in back to back FIFA World cup qualifiers group G games.

Hugo Boss and his team will need to make sure that they get maximum points against the East African side and even when some players decide not to play for the national team or they just go AWOL. Jesse Donn might just steal this spot from the Orlando Pirates star as he will make sure that he plays at his best should he be given an opportunity to play for the national team.
