Kaizer Chiefs's PSL DC hearing will now be attended on in February 25th.
Kaizer Chiefs felt unfairly treated by the PSL following the failure to honour two Dstv premiership games during the festive season. Amakhosi had no other plan but to ask PSL board to postpone all December games. This follows the COVID-19 outbreak to almost every player inside Naturena.
Kaizer Chiefs had more than 30 players that were tested positive for corona virus and only eleven players available. Due to shortage of players, the request for games postponement was more than necessary. Looking at other big leagues like La liga, EPl and Serie A, games were being postponed if cases were discovered among the club.
PSL decision was to decline the request that was made by Amakhosi but Kaizer Chiefs management felt robbed as PSL didn't take the right decision. They had to appeal in order to get answers because they were told that the case was declined without reasons. They took the matter to the FIFA arbitration. Amakhosi was also charged by the PSL for not appearing to play two games.
"All over the world, big leagues, matches are postponed now and then, so what's with this PSL DC, Chiefs did the right thing, what must follow Chiefs must claim their legal costs from PSL DC," says a twitter follower
"Well done KaizerChiefs , this league has been run like a Spaza shop for far too long. After this take them to FIFA. We must not be punished for nothing," says a twitter follower
"PSL Disciplinary Committee are taking Chances .This matter will drag till to Fifa to decide. Corona Virus it's a Global Monster, Deteriorating all Communities without any Look of Colour or Gender.Easy and Fair Solution, Both Games Should be played in near Future," says Makuya
