PREVIEW : Richards Bay aim for top spot in the DStv Premiership

UMLAZI : DStv Premiership new boys, Richards Bay will be looking to continue their fairytale run in the Premier Division when they welcome Marumo Gallants to the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi.

Kick off is scheduled for 15 : 00.

The Natal Rich Boyz are still subjected to playing their home games at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi instead of the Umhlathuze Sports Complex. This is due to the latter not meeting the PSL standards.

The KwaZulu-Natal side produced an impressive performance on the opening weekend by dispatching provincial rivals, Lamontville Golden Arrows 2 - 0 at the Princess Magogo Stadium over the weekend.

That impressive performance, capped by a man of the match from Abel Mabaso will be what they are hoping so that they can climb top of the DStv Premiership log by the end of the day.

Pitso Dladla's men are currently tied on point with Premiership defending Champions Mamelodi Sundowns after recording 2 - 0 away wins in the opening weekend.

The Rich Boys will welcome a Marumo Gallants side, who come into the game after playing to a goalless draw with Stellenbosch at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane ovee the weekend.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa, who are currently under the guidance of coach Roman Folz will be looking to get their campaign started following a disappointing draw at home to Stellenbosch.

The Polokwane based side have a reasonably new team on the side following the departure of coach Dan Malesela and Miguel Timm.

With three points at stake, both clubs will be looking to grab maximum points and move up the table.

Having won the first game, Richards Bay will be carrying the favorites tag especially as the game will be played in their back year, although it's in Umlazi not Richards Bay.
