DStv premiership match between Royal AM and Mamelodi Sundowns was abandoned due to weather conditions and waterlogged pitch. Royal AM gave Mamelodi Sundowns guard of honour as they were about to lift the trophy officially after the match.Thou it is not clear wheather Royal AM will again give Sundowns guard of honour prior to the match ,according to Siya crew the match will be replayed on Monday depending on the weather conditions.
Premier Soccer League are yet to confirm the date and time for replay. The match is going to restart from zero minutes according to Match Commissioner.Royal AM is fighting for the CAF Champions League spot after Cape Town City lost to Stellenbosch FC in the DStv premiership match.Royal AM and Orlando Pirates will be fighting to play in the CAF tournament next season.
Orlando Pirates have three games in hand , against Maritzburg United ,Royal AM and Supersport United.Royal AM need all the points to become another KZN club in the CAF tournament after AmaZulu qualified for the first time last season.
