Their success over the years has seen them being able to attract some of the finest talents around and abroad, and four of those players happen to come from the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town Football Club.
The quartet of Grant Margeman who is out on loan at Swallows Football Club, Rivaldo Coetzee, Khama Billiat who is playing for Kaizer Chiefs Football Club, and Musa Lebusa who is one of their captains are just some of the players who moved from the Cape to the Brazilians over the years.

Today is a special day for Masandawana defender Musa Lebusa, the Welkom, Free State Province turns 29, and Sundowns took their time to wish their calm and towering defender a glorious and wonderful birthday party.
And fans as well had their say with one fan saying "Happy Birthday Bruh Mosco", showing how they think of him.
Bafana joined Ajax's first team in 2012, joining them coming from their junior ranks where he played for 4 years after joining from Dinonyana Football Club.
Lebusa went on to play 129 games for Ajax scoring 9 goals before the club was relegated in the season 2017/2018, where he joined Sundowns and went to become one of the leaders at the club.
