Former Chiefs coach Hunt set to meet with Manchester City coach Guardiola

The former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt might be out of action on the pitch, but he's making exciting moves in his upcoming travels. Hunt is set to jet-off to the United Kingdom as he sets to spend some time with Manchester City. This is a rare chance for the five time Premier Soccer League title winner to learn from arguably the best club in the wod at the moment. The former Bidvest Wits mentor has been out of the coaching position since his last stint at Chippa United. Whereby he ended up being released in December as he struggled to help his side provide good results.

Nevertheless, Hunt will put everything behind him as he's trying to figure out his new club since he's a free agent that's willing to get back at the helm. Hunt will be learning a few techniques and tectics from the reigning English Premier League champions. The expectations are to see their professionalism and to see how they do things. I think, obviously, it will also be about seeing how we do things compared to them – we can’t compare the facilities and things like that, but the training sessions and methodology,” said Hunt speaking to Soccer Laduma.

According to Hunt, the whole trip Man City was organized by the club's boss Omar Berrada, thanks to the former SuperSport United's friend that was able to use his connections to make the trip a reality. Also, Hunt stated that he's looking forward to have a chat with Man City manager Pep Guardiola. “I will meet the person that does the methodology to find out what they look for and what they don’t want, those type of things. I am also going to be around the fitness and training team. But obviously the most important meeting will be with Pep himself. They are busy, but I will be with the first team and going to their training session in the two days, I have seen in the itinerary that they’ve given me a slot there and there is time,” said Hunt speaking to Soccer Laduma.
