Many Kaizer Chiefs fans dislike him because he plays for the Orlando Pirates, but we all secretly wish he was an Amakhosi player because we know how excellent he is. He's the best South African player in my opinion, and he usually delivers on the field. It would be interesting to watch what would happen if he joined Kaizer Chiefs; certainly, Orlando Pirates fans would despise him and call him names as a result, but he would have a better reputation at Chiefs than he does at Pirates.
Lorch is needed for the current crop of Amakhosi players to be complete and win numerous trophies. Khama Billiat as a left-winger, Keagan Dolly as a right-winger, Ashley Du Preez as a striker, and Thembinkosi Lorch as a playmaker, playing as an attacking midfielder slightly behind the striker. Many teams would be destroyed by this squad.
Amakhosi's problem is the link between midfield and strikers; how many assists did Amakhosi midfielders have last season? What about defensive split passes? So, if that problem isn't fixed, we'll continue to suffer, but Lorch is that link at Pirates; he drops deep to collect balls when the midfield is shaky, and he creates chances for the strikers.
