SAFA head referee reveals the reasons on bad officiating against Chiefs

SAFA chief referee Abdul Ebrahim finally explained referee Victor Gomes' warning to Kaizer Chiefs defender Zitha Kwinika.

The Brazilians clinched a 4-0 victory over the Chiefs in a thrilling DStv Premiership clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday.

"The player received a card for protesting. It has nothing to do with Ngezana," Ebrahim tells KickOff. "Kwinika protested the decision and the referee warned him. "I don't know what he told the referee. But the referee report said it was a dispute. “So, you know, it's important that when a situation arises that we don't understand, we don't jump to conclusions, because most people say that the referee made a mistake. "But they don't need to know anything because we are monitoring the incident and this incident is not a precaution.

"He just pulled him down, he didn't stop a tackle because he had another defender behind him. "So there had to be another reason he was getting attention."
