Arthur Zwane Gives Injury Update ahead of Richards Bay Game - Three Players are Doubtful

Three Kaizer Chiefs players are doubtful for the club's next game.

Amakhosi will return to action this weekend when the club host the log leaders, Richards Bay at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night.

Chiefs will be looking to get back to winning ways after the club was embarrassed by Mamelodi Sundowns last week after a 4-0 defeat.

Current Chiefs sit on 12th place in the log table with only three points collected after match day three.

The club however could suffer a major blow ahead of this weekend's game as three of their key players are facing risks of missing the encounter.

Amakhosi were not participating in mid week action, which means the club had enough time to prepare for their next game.

Ashley Du Preez will miss the club's next game after he suffered an injury last week prior to the Sundowns game.

The former Stellenbosch FC star was a noticeable absentee in Amakhosi's heavy defeat by the Brazilians last Saturday and the player is set to miss another game for his side.

There are other three players who could miss the club's weekend game including Siyethemba Sithebe and George Matlou who are both carrying niggles.

Khama Billiat is among of the list of players that are doubtful for the encounter with the Zimbabwean currently nursing a flu.

"We still going to miss Ashley who is going to be out for some time. George is doubtful as well," said the club's head coach Arthur Zwane while he was addressing the media.

The coach added that they expected Sithebe would face such injury after he was not playing competitive football for a long time and he just played three games in 10 days at the club this season.

Zwane added that the team is not sure how Billiat is going to respond to his flu and has insisted that they will see between today and tomorrow.
