The 2021/22 DStv Premiership Legaue table is about to undergo another shake and change it's outlook as the season's fifth round is set and ready to take place, with some mouthwatering fixtures on the lineup as usual.
Some matches are of high interest because of the elements that are likely to influence the games. Here are some of the matches to look forward to this weekend.
AmaZulu VS Baroka
This match between Usuthu and Bakgakga is of high interst when we look at the home team, who are yet to record a win in the league this season. Benni McCarthy has seen his side lose three times this season, with their last match resulting in a 2-2 draw against Lamontville Golden Arrows in the KZN Derby.
Their opponents on the day Baroka have not done bad so far this season, having won two games and drawn two games as well in their opening four matches of the season. The match will take place at the Moses Mabidha Stadium, kickoff scheduled for 15h00.
Orlando Pirates VS Mamelodi Sundowns
This is undoubtedly the biggest fixture of the weekend featuring two PSL heavyweights, a match that never misses out on top action. The Brazilians currently top the standing and are yet to taste defeat this season, with Pirates looking to be the ones to taste first blood on the fierce Sundowns.
Pirates on the other hand are not doing bad themselves, considering that their coach Josef Zinnbauer left early in the season. They have won two games and drawn two games and are also yet to taste defeat in the league this season.
The match will take place at the Orlando Stadium, kick off scheduled for 15h00
Marumo Gallants VS Kaizer Chiefs
This is also one for the weekend simply because all eyes will be on Kaizer Chiefs who have started the season rather not convincing. Pressure to turn things around is surely on Stuart Baxter, with fans eager to see which players he will send out for the task to beat Gallants who are rooted at the bottom of the table, yet to win a game this season.
