Former Chiefs Star Dies

Death is moving at a high speed these days, people are dying liek fliee, the outbreak of the coronvirus did not do us any favours, were are losing ordinary people and people who were on the spot light, others are dying because of other things like car accidents, gunshots and other sicknessew, but the details surrounding the death of a former Kaizer Chiefs Star remains unknown so far.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lucky Maselesele has reportedly died on Friday, the news about his passing broke on Friday night an it was not revealed what really happened.

According to, the 41 year old who played for The Phefeni Glamour Boys between 1998 and 2004 after he was promoted from the development side passed away and the exact cause of his passing remains a mystery.

"It is with great sadness that former Kaizer Chiefs star midfielder Lucky Maselesele has passed away. Maselesele’s professional career started in 1998 at Kaizer Chiefs, where he had been promoted from the club’s development," the publication reports.

In 2020, Maselesele came up and opened up about when he became the first player to test positive for the drugs and he pleaded with budding players to learn from his mistakes and take their careers seriously, becoming the first Premier Soccer League player to test positive for cocaine during his playing days was one of the things that destroyed his career.

The Alexandra born star stayed at Naturena for two year after he was promoted to the senior team, he was then loaned out to Manning Ranger in the 2000/01 season, he then returned and continue playing for Amakhosi until 2004 before joined Thanda Royal Zulu in the 2004/05 season, the the following season he joined Limpopo side Black Leopards, he returned in 2011 after having moved up and down trying to get a club to settle in.
