OPINION: Can Tottenham Afford The Kind Of Players Conte Would Want At The Club?

ARTICLE SOURCE: MY OPINION

Tottenham Hotspur were eventually able to secure Antonio Conte to a deal after pursuing him throughout the previous summer transfer window following Jose Mourinho's dismissal.

Tottenham are in need of a manager with the experience to take the team to the heights they seek, and by appointing Conte, your wish may be achieved if you provide him with what he requires.

This could be a point of contention between the club's management and Antonio Conte. Would Daniel Levy be willing to spend large on a transfer target, considering it was a factor in Jose Mourinho's departure from the club?

While Jose Mourinho was at the club, he requested Milan Skriniar, Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes, and a slew of other players, but none were made available to him. You could blame the coronavirus for the lack of cash flow at the time, but Tottenham Hotspur had lost out on those targets to other clubs.

The squad at Tottenham Hotspur needs new faces now that they have signed an experienced manager, one who is known for his spending abilities, but will Antonio Conte's preferred choices be the club's preferred choices?

Since Conte's arrival, names like Stefan de Vrij, Marcelo Brozovic, Frank Kessie, and Dusan Vlahovic have been associated with the club, but will Daniel Levy be willing to pay big to appease his new manager?

All of the players mentioned above will not be cheap, both in terms of transfer fees and wages. I'm not sure if Tottenham's system can accommodate these players and their large salaries.

We all know how Antonio Conte reacts when his requests are ignored; he is the type of manager who would openly express his displeasure, and it remains to be seen how Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici plan to deal with Conte's demands.
