Spanish Tika-Taka is what convinced Iron Duke in the latest appointment of new coach, Ncikazi demote

Finally Orlando Pirates have made the announcement of the long awaited technical team change which has been dragging for some time now.

The 'Sea Robbers' have decided to go for the Spanish Tika-taka when announcing their new coach who hails from Spain by the name of Jose Riveiro.

The oldest team in the League who have won the PSL championship five times since the inception of the league made announcement of the 46-year-old coach on a three-year-contract. The Spanish will take over Mandla Ncikazi who by the look of things will help as an assistant coach.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of José Riveiro to the position of Head Coach. Riveiro joins Pirates on a three-year deal,”- the club announced on their website.

The new Bucs man is expected to be coming in with two trusted assistants by the names of Sergio Almenara and Miguel Bellver Esteve as the fitness trainer.

History of José Riveiro

We take a look at what the new Bucs man been doing prior taking the the prestious job. What we found out is that the man previously worked in Finland for a side popularly known as FC Inter Turku.

Jose Riveiro who prefers a 3-4-2-1 attack minded formation might be what the doctors asked for at Orlando Pirates. Orlando Pirates have the quality for such formation. Jose was in charge of 103 games for the Turku where he managed 56 wins, drawing 13 and registering 33 defeats. No bad?

We welcome Jose Riveiro to our South African league, welcome coach.

The Spaniard, who is yet to lift silverware in his careers, has three other gigs in his profile as an assistant coach at HJK Helsinki, Pallokerho-35, and FC Honka (all Finland).
