In the last two transfer windows, the Brazilians have brought in no less than eight top-quality players for big money, the likes of Rushine De Reuck, Thabiso Kutumela, and Neo Maema are just some of the few players Sundowns had to spend in the region of millions to acquire their services.

To show how much they spend on building a formidable team they are at the moment look at their market value, which is the highest in the country, and it is close to a billion rand.

And, their star striker Peter Shalulile who joined the club before the beginning of the 2020/2021 season from now-defunct Highlands Park Football Club, for a fee rumoured to be around R5 million is the most valuable player in the league with a market value of R25 million.

It is not surprising to see them dominating the top flight of South African football like they are, the 11 times league champions which the last four have won in the last four seasons, are currently leading the 2021/2022 league campaign with four points from the six games they have played in the league this season.

After their impressive 3 - 0 thrashing of Swallows Football Club, Masandawana co-coach Rulani Mokwena revealed that the club has signed former Orlando Pirates Football Club target Pule Maraisane.

The 26-year-old was tipped to move to Pirates after returning from Turkey but that failed to materialize, and now he has joined Sundowns.
